On August 16, the key project participated by Far East Cable - Baihetan-Zhejiang ± 800 kV UHVDC transmission line project on Anhui section was completed, which is another "west-to-east power transmission" project participated in by Far East Cable after the Baihetan-Jiangsu ± 800 kV UHVDC project.
This project is a key project to implement the national strategy of "west-to-east power transmission", with a total length of 2,140.2 kilometers, passing through five cities of Sichuan, Chongqing, Hubei, Anhui and Zhejiang, and is a major project to help achieve the goal of "double carbon”. It comprehensively controls air pollution in the Yangtze River Delta, and promotes the integrated high-quality development.
Far East Cable, a subsidiary of Far East Smart Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as Far East; Stock code: 600869), provided up to hundreds of millions of yuan of large-section aluminum wire with steel core and high conductivity for the project.
In order to ensure the progress of the project, the engineers of Far East Cable fought against the heat and raced against time. Despite the rising temperature, Far Easterners have always been on the front line of the project, overcoming high temperatures, and ensuring progress, which is a testimony of Far Easterners' practice to solve substantive problems for customers timely.
With years of technical research and a number of invention patents, the high-conductivity aluminum and series products for UHV lines developed by Far East Cable after are core products. The products takes the lead in both duralumin conductivity and high-strength aluminum alloy conductivity, and won the China Patent Award.
Up to now, the products have been successfully applied to more than 30 UHV transmission lines such as "Baihetan-Jiangsu ± 800kV UHVDC Project", "Weifang -Linyi~ Zaozhuang- Heze- Shijiazhuang 1000kV UHV AC Project", "Qinghai-Henan, Shaanxi-Wuhan ±800kV UHVDC Project", "Yazhong-Jiangxi ±800kV UHVDC Transmission Line Project", covering 16 cities including Guangdong, Inner Mongolia, Jiangsu and Xinjiang. It realizes large-capacity, low-loss, high-safety, high-efficiency and long-distance power transmission. At present, each line is in good operation and the users are satisfied.
As a key project to implement the national strategy of "west-to-east power transmission", the project is connected to the Baihetan Hydropower Station, the largest hydropower station currently under construction in the world, and the other end is located at the Zhebei converter station in Linping District, Hangzhou. Far East Cable designed a new cable structure and a special load-bearing spreader for the world's second largest hydropower station after the Three Gorges, and formulated the overall arrangement of pendant cables and spreader design schemes. This is the successful practice of pendant laying cable in the field of hydropower new energy, and it is a new breakthrough in hoisting and laying technology.
In the future, Far East Cable will continue to actively deploy new power systems, strengthen product research and development, and deepen cooperation in various fields such as energy security and supply, power grid infrastructure, power equipment, economic and social green and low-carbon transformation and the realization of the "dual carbon" goal, and make greater contributions to the overall development of the country.
