Smarter Energy: Exchanging with an Expert from State Grid, to Promote Transformation and Upgrading of Wires and Cables

    The Analysis Symposium on Grid Industrial Development of Far East Smarter Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Smarter Energy”, stock code: 600869), themed by industry dynamics and self-improvement, was held in the smart classroom of Far East University on November 4. Han Feng, Vice President of State Power Economic Research Institute of State Grid, was invited to give a report on grid revolution and innovative development.     Wang Zheng, an investor, Director and Secretary of the Board of Directors of Smarter Energy, expressed warm welcome to Han Feng for her visit to and guidance in Far East, and presided over the symposium. He introduced that Smarter Energy was the largest manufacturing base of smart wires and cables as well as manufacturer of intelligent power equipment in China, and was the first enterprise winning National Quality Award in the industry. In the meantime, the company boasts leading fault monitoring technology for smart grid, and focuses on R & D and manufacturing of products applied in smart power distribution and transmission networks, which covers the whole set of distribution automation products ranging from the master station to automation terminal of primary equipment and secondary equipment. He emphasized that grids are not only a carrier that connects power generation and customers, to provide customers with safe, reliable, economical and efficient electric energy, but also were the central link of energy transformation and the infrastructure for optimal allocation of energy resources in a large scale.

    Han Feng introduced the current situation of power grid from such four aspects as development history, scale, standardization and technical equipment of grid, analyzed the development trend of power transmission and distribution networks, and strategically put forward plans and ideas to solve the problems occurring in the development. Meanwhile, she further analyzed the key technology for direct-current transmission and power distribution network as well as development trend of technical equipment to the leaders present.

    Wang Zheng highly praised the research achievements and strength of Han Feng, and regarded her analysis as innovative and forward-looking. The lecture given by Han Feng broadened the vision of colleagues in Far East, provided important support for the company's development planning and other work, and strengthened the confidence of Smarter Energy in its future development. He denoted that under the present status of fierce competition in the industry, Smarter Energy must seize the development opportunities including comprehensive quality control and the “One Belt, One Road and Africa” Initiative, enhance technical level, accelerate transformation and upgrading, quickly benchmark, grasp market opportunities, and implement the development strategy to realize the high-end orientation, integration and internationalization of cables and wires of Smarter Energy.
