Three New Products of Smarter Energy Have Passed Appraisal

     The “Technical Appraising Meeting of the New Composite Technology Products of Far East Cable” was held recently. Jiang Huajun, an investor, Director of Far East Holding Group Co., Ltd., and Associate Director of the Board and CEO of Far East Smarter Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Smarter Energy”, stock code “600869”); Wang Chuanbin, an investor, Associate Director of the Supervisory Board, Senior Consultant and Director of Technology Research  Institute of Smarter Energy; Chen Jinlong, an investor, Supervisor of Smarter Energy and Senior Consultant; Zhu Changbiao, an investor, Vice General Manager of Smarter Energy and Senior Vice General Manager of Far East Cable Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Far East Cable”); Gan Xingzhong, an investor, General Manager Assistant of Smarter Energy and Senior Vice General Manager of Far East Cable; Ma Yueqin, an investor, Senior Director of Far East Smarter Energy and General Manager Assistant of Far East Cable; Xu Jing, an investor, Cable Industry Senior Director and Principal of Wire and Cable R&D Department Ⅲ of Smarter Energy; Wang Kangxin, Senior Advisor of Technical Service Department of Smarter Energy; Li Jing, Marketing Director Assistant of Smarter Energy and Marketing Director of Far East Cable attended the meeting.

    At the meeting, Jiang Huajun, on behalf of Far East, extended a warm welcome to the 15 technical experts who were present at the appraising meeting including Hong Yan and Li Yongwei. Meanwhile, he introduced the Far East members present at the meeting as well as the basic information, current foundation, investment budget and social and economic benefits of the projects.

    After reports on the appraised projects, Wang Chuanbin and Xu Jing, etc. further reported more detailed product information and technical details to the panel. And then the two parties made a full discussion. 15 experts from China Electric Power Research Institute, Electric Power Planning & Engineering Institute, Communication & Construction branch company of State Grid Corporation of China (SGCC), Grid Operation Branch of SGCC, Quality Supervision and Test Center for Electrical Material and Special Wire and Cable, Jiangsu Electric Power Company of SGCC, Electric Power Research Institute of Zhejiang Electric Power Company of SGCC, Shanghai Electric Cable Research Institute, UHV Transmission Company of China Southern Power Grid, Central Southern China Electric Power Design Institute, North China Electric Design Institute, Guangdong Power Grid Co., Ltd., etc. carefully listened to the trial production summaries and testing reports made by the project R&D staff from the company’s Technology Research Institute and audited the relevant technical documents.  

    The experts all agreed to make the three new projects— “JLHA1/G6A-500/280-48/37 Super-Strength Steel Core Aluminum Alloy Stranded Wire”, “JL3/LHA1-935/415-63/28 Aluminum High Conductivity Alloy Core Aluminum Stranded Wire” and “JLRX1/F1A-550/45-287 & JLRX1/F1B-500/55-276 Composite Core Soft Aluminum Stranded Wire” submitted by the wholly-owned subsidiaries of Smarter Energy— Far East Cable and Far East Composite Technology Co., Ltd. pass the appraisal and allow them to be put into volume production considering their excellent structural design and properties, mature manufacturing techniques, advanced manufacturing equipment and complete testing methods.  

    The “JLHA1/G6A-500/280-48/37 Super-Strength Steel Core Aluminum Alloy Stranded Wire” has been developed by Far East on the basis of the demands of long-distance circuits in UHV power transmission projects. Currently, it has been put into application and promotion, helping improve disaster resistance of the grids, safety of the wires and efficiency of long-distance power transmission and reduce investment and operation costs of power grid projects. The “JL3/LHA1-935/415-63/28 Aluminum High Conductivity Alloy Core Aluminum Stranded Wire” is characterized by considerable energy-saving effect, low production cost, strong corrosion resistance as well a bright application prospect in future domestic and foreign UHV power transmission lines construction. The “JLRX1/F1A-550/45-287 & JLRX1/F1B-500/55-276 Composite Core Soft Aluminum Stranded Wire” meets the demands of long-distance wire laying in UHV power transmission projects and is suitable for construction of safe, environmentally-friendly, efficient and energy-saving UHV power grids. The application is significant to improving transmission capacity of power transmission lines and safety and reliability of power grids, to reducing the total cost of overhead power transmission and transformation projects and to environmental protection.

    Li Yongwei declared the appraising result on behalf of the panel and commended Far East’s innovation in wire and cable technology R&D for years, hoping that Far East would further develop serial products to make greater contribution to power grid construction.

    Jiang Huajun extended gratitude to all the experts present and led them to visit the UHV Experiment Screened Room. He noted that Far East would conduct researches in wire and cable R&D as usual and vigorously enhance product innovation capability in urban transportation, green architectures, new energy, etc. so as to improve China’s market competitiveness and promote product technology upgrade in the wire and cable industry and lead China’s wire and cable industry toward internationalization.
