1. Product overview
When the temperature of the wire being heated reaches a certain value, it is relaxed due to hot expansion of flexible aluminum, all tension of the wire will be transferred to composite material core at this temperature, and this temperature is called "inflection point" temperature (or transfer temperature); above this temperature, as the temperature increases, the arc sag of the wire is increased little due to a very small linear expansion coefficient of carbon fiber.

4.Product performance characteristics:
 (1) under the conditions of the same outer diameter and the same unit weight as the steel-core aluminum stranded wire, DC resistance and AC resistance of the flexible aluminium wire with carbon fiber composite core are far less than those of the steel-core aluminium stranded wire, only about 75% of it;

(2) under the conditions of the same outer diameter and the same unit weight as the steel-core aluminum stranded wire, the breaking force of the flexible aluminium wire with carbon fiber composite core is above 23% higher than the entire breaking force of steel-core aluminum stranded wire;
 (3)  the intercepted amount of the carbon fiber composite wire only when the operating temperature is 120℃ is twice more than the steel-core aluminium stranded wire, the long time operating temperature of carbon fiber composite core wire is up to 160℃, and the current-carrying capacity can be increased significantly.
 (4) in a reformed line of capacity expansion, only under the premise that the unit mass and outer diameter of flexible aluminium wire with carbon fiber composite core are no more than the original wire, the AC resistance and DC resistance of carbon fiber composite core wire are reduced significantly, and the operating temperature can also be increased; it has low arc sag characteristic, and thus there is no need to replace rods and towers but the power transportation capacity can be greatly increased.

(5) In a new line, the flexible aluminium wire with carbon fiber composite core with the same outer diameter as the originally designed conductor is used, and thus the line loss can be reduced by 25%. If a single circuit four-division line runs 5,000 hours annually, and the price is 0.40 yuan per kilowatt hour, the line can save 250,000 per kilowatt hours, equivalent to 100,000 yuan.
