Chen Jing and Other Attend the Railway and Power Grid Industrial Technology Exchange Conference to Discuss New Technology

Railway and Power Grid Industrial Technology Exchange Conference and Launching Ceremony of Expert Working Group for Railway and Power Grid Technological Collaboration, hosted by China Electric Power Technology Collaboration and organized by Zhongneng Guoyan (Beijing) Electric Power Research Institute, was held in Beijing on July 6, 2017. Leaders of organizations such as China Railway, State Grid Corporation of China, China Southern Power Grid Electric Power Research Institute and China Electric Power Research Institute attended the conference. Leaders of Far East, including Chen Jing, Director and COO of Far East Smarter Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Smarter Energy”, stock code: 600869), Ma Yueqin, an investor, Senior Director of Smarter Energy and Assistant General Manager of Far East Cable Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Far East Cable”), Xu Jing, an investor, Senior Director of Smarter Energy and Director of No. 3 Wire and Cable R&D Department of Far East Cable, and Lu Zhengrong, an investor, Director of No. 2 Wire and Cable R&D Department of Far East Cable, were invited to attend the conference and communicated with other guests to discuss the new direction for developing the technology of railway power grid.

The Name List of Members of Expert Working Group for Railway and Power Grid Technological Collaboration was issued during the conference. The Expert Working Group consists of over 80 professional experts from units like State Grid Corporation of China, China Railway, China Southern Power Grid and China Electric Power Technology Collaboration. The responsibilities and obligations for each member were also determined through the approval of the Interim Measures for the Management of Expert Working Group in the course of the conference. Leaders and guests made an in-depth discussion on the problem of railway and power grid technology and determine the direction for developing the technology of railway power grid.

It is learned that by the end of 2015, the operating railway lines of China has reached 121,000 km, among which the length of high-speed railway has reached 19,000 km, achieving the goal ahead of schedule. According to the Medium- and Long-Term Railway Network Plan newly deliberated and approved by the State Council on June 29, 2016, the length of high-speed railway of China will reach 38,000 km by 2025, forming the “eight vertical and eight horizontal” high-speed rail network and promoting the construction of the “Belt and Road” international channel.

Seizing the opportunity of the development of high-speed railway, Smarter Energy will focus on the high-end, precise and specialized market, readjust the product mix and marketing strategy and improve the quality of products to serve the construction of high-speed railway and achieve the leaping development of Smarter Energy.
