On-Site Examination of Far East Composite Technology Co., Ltd.’s Provincial Scientific and Technological Achievements Transformation Project

    Recently, the “R&D and Industrialization of Energy-Saving Series Wires with Carbon Fiber Composite Cores Specially Used in Smart Grid UHV Power Transmission” project declared by Far East Composite Technology Co., Ltd. finally entered the stage of on-site examination after passing the panel examination and online review organized by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology. On June 3, 5 technical experts and 2 financial experts led by Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology came to our company for on-site examination. Jiang Xipei, Founder, Board Chairman and Secretary of the party committee of the Far East Holding Group (FEHG); Jiang Huajun, Director of FEHG, Deputy Board Chairman and CEO of Far East Smarter Energy Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as “Smarter Energy”, stock code: 600869); Wang Chuanbin, Investor, Senior Consultant and Director of Technology Research Institute of Smarter Energy; Li Taiyan, CFO of Smarter Energy; Xu Jing, Investor, Senior Director of cable industry and Director of Cable Research Department Ⅲ of Smarter Energy received these guests.

On-Site Panel Examination  

    At the panel, Director Wang Chuanbin, first of all, gave a detailed report on the basic situation, current foundation, appraisal target, implementation plan and investment budget, social and economic benefits, etc. of the project. Later, Jiang Xipei introduced the background and current condition of the project, emphasizing that we were the first domestic company to independently research and develop carbon fiber composite wires through technology introduction and absorption and that we had put lots of money and manpower into carbon fiber composite wires R&D and would continue trying to maintain the leading position of the technology both at home and abroad.

    Then, the panel successively came to Laboratory of Carbon Fiber Composite Cores R&D Center, Composite Core Rod Factory, Aluminium Alloy Wire Factory and Composite Wire Factory for on-site visit and examination of the R&D, testing and production.

    Through financial, technical and on-site comprehensive reviews, the panel made out Feedback Form on Examination of the Main Contract Items for the Specially Funded Project of Provincial Scientific and Technological Achievements Transformation and Feedback Form on Investigation and Argument by Financial Experts of the Specially Funded Project of Provincial Scientific and Technological Achievements Transformation after serious discussion.

    The “R&D and Industrialization of Energy-Saving Series Wires with Carbon Fiber Composite Cores Specially Used in Smart Grid UHV Power Transmission” project has achieved high-capacity, energy-saving and environmentally-friendly features of UHV power transmission projects as well as safe and reliable operation in various geographical and weather conditions. The project has not only solved the low-capacity and high-loss problems in the overhead power transmission field, but also improved electromagnetic environment of HV and UHV transmission lines and reduced pollution to the environment, representing the trend of overhead transmission technology development.

    Far East Composite Technology Co., Ltd. is the first company to complete design, manufacturing and promotion of carbon fiber composite wires in China and the first company to develop energy-saving series wires with carbon fiber composite cores according to different UHV transmission environments. We are obliged to conduct dedicated research on the performances of the energy-saving series wires with carbon fiber composite cores in UHV transmission and ceaselessly strive to maintain the leading position of the company.
