     Recently, the appraisal meeting of Hualong No.1 cable achievement (product) for class 1E harsh environment was held in Beijing. The Hualong No.1 cable for 1E (nuclear-grade) harsh environment jointly researched and developed by Anhui Cable Co., Ltd. under the jurisdiction of Far East Smarter Energy Co., Ltd. (business abbreviation: Far East Smarter Energy; Stock Code: 600869) and China Nuclear Power Engineering Co., Ltd. passed through the science and technology achievement appraisal by China National Nuclear Corp. and has filled the domestic blank. Experts said the product has reached the international advanced level, and has good social and economic benefits.

     Hualong No.1 cable for class 1E harsh environment is one of the most important products for nuclear power stations, and is mainly used for power transmission, control and measurement systems in nuclear power stations, as a main artery to guarantee the normal operation of the systems. Since the cable for harsh environment in nuclear power stations is used inside the containment of nuclear power stations, the environment is harsh and the security requirements are high, the cable performance and indicators should meet the requirements of use under normal conditions and accident conditions. Anhui Cable and China Nuclear Power Engineering after two years of hard efforts, overcame difficulties, and finally successfully researched and developed the product and contributed to the smooth building of "Hualong No.1" project.

     At this appraisal meeting, Ye Qizhen, Academician of Science and Technology Committee of China National Nuclear Corp. served as Director of the Appraisal Commission, and the members of the Committee were the experts from a total of 9 units such as Science and Technology Committee of China National Nuclear Corp., the Nuclear Safety Council, Nuclear and Radiation Safety Center of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, and the National Center for Quality Supervision and Test of Electric Wire & Cable. The expert team heard the summary report of the project research and development, fully affirmed the work of the research group, and agreed that the project passed the achievement appraisal. Jiang Huajun, Managing Director of Far East Smarter Energy, Liu Zhijun, Chief Executive Officer of Anhui Cable, Deputy General Manager Gao Yunwen and Chief Engineer Zhang Wanyou took part in the appraisal meeting.
